MPLAN’s Community of Learning – Groningen Declaration Network and ECE RPL Pathways
MPLAN hosted an online webinar via Zoom on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m CST.
Participants learned about the recent meetings of the Groningen Declaration Network, supporting international academic and professional digital credential mobility through the development of a global digital student data ecosystem.Main Presentation: RPL is an important practice in many professions, and Early Learning and Child Care is no exception! The Early Learning and Child Care Program in the Department of Families offers four streams of RPL for individuals to gain their ECE II classification in the province. In this session you will learn more about the ELCC sector, our ECE II Assessment Program streams and the impact that RPL practices in ELCC has on families, educators, businesses and the economy as a whole. Robyn McEvoy is a mother of five (5) girls and has been working in the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) field for 21 years. She has experience with inclusion support, social enterprise, curriculum development and implementation and policy development with diverse groups of people. She completed a Master’s degree in Education and currently works as a Qualifications Analyst with the Department of Families. Part of this role is oversight of an ECE RPL program with the goal of increasing the number of trained staff and quality programming in ELCC facilities throughout the province.
